From now on, with all the site reviews that I put up, I will also put up a video of the site, with me providing a brief walk-through of the site, and it's features. I already did a CashCrate review, so I'll have to make a video for that. I will post that video by the end of today.
If you didn't read my post about blogging a few days ago, I mentioned using sites such as Adbrite and Clicksor to place ads on your site. I'll get to Adbrite in another post, so for now I'd like to focus on Clicksor.
What Is It
Clicksor is one of the many sites out there which you can use to get money for your site. People who want to advertise their goods or services can go on Clicksor, and put up advertisements. Then, publishers (meaning those who have some sort of web page), can put ad-boxes on their site, in which the ads that are submitted to Clicksor appear.
The advertisers pay money to have their product advertised on Clicksor, and Clicksor gives you about 70% of the money that the advertiser payes them. You can get money when people click on the ads on your page, and depending on the amount of traffic to your site, you can get anywhere from $0.01 to over $10.00 per click. DO NOT, under any circumstances, click on the ads you are hosting on your site. Your account will get banned, and the money earned will not be given to you.
You also get a small amount of money for people just simply seeing the ads, but you only get a few cents per every 50 views (or impressions, as they are called when referring to sites).
Ad Formats
Ad-boxes come in different shapes and sizes, as well as colors. The most popular are:
125px by 125px
160px by 600px
250px by 250px
468px by 60px (click to view full image)
You can also customize how the ads look (i.e. you can change the color of the text in the actual ad, but not what the ad says). There are also advertisements that are images or banners, and you cannot change them.
As I mentioned before, besides Clicksor, there are other sites that provide the same service of advertisements, and another one that I use is Adbrite, which I will discuss later. I use both Adbrite and Clicksor on another blog of mine: http://followmeplayingwow.blogspot.com
As with all the sites I talk about, the amount of money earned from Clicksor is now in the "Total Money Earned Online" box on the right side of the page, and will be updated as the earnings change.
If you have ever searched and looked for ways to make money online, you have probably, at one point of another, stumbled upon a site called CashCrate. Many people are skeptical of this site, because the concept seems too good to be true, and it is.
Well, not entirely.
See, it's too good to be true the way many people describe it. You are not going to become rich with this site, no matter what you do. You are however, going to make anywhere from $20 -$100 per month, depending on your level of commitment.
CashCrate works like this: there are about 200 offers on the site, and you basically fill them out for anywhere for $0.15-$1.00 each. Some offers can get you over $1.00, but they usually take very long to complete and confirm, or require the use of a credit card. I never do the ones that require credit cards, as those offers seem like scams - you get redirected to a site that looks like it was made by an automated program, and it asks you to buy something for only $0.73, and then only wait 6 months...blah blah blah, you know how it goes.
Anyways, those are bullshit, and my suggestion is stay away from all credit card offers.
Before I get too much off track, let me explain exactly how the site works, and why it pays you to complete free offers.
When you sign up, and go to the "complete offers" tab, you will see a bunch of offer names, the description of what to do for each offer, and the amount of money each offer pays out. As I said before, I only do the free offers, or the ones that don't require the use of a credit card.
This is what CashCrate looks like, and here is a brief walk-through of one offer
1) Click on an offer, and get redirected to the offer's page in a new tab or window
2) Put in the same email you used to sign into CashCrate and press submit (I will explain why it is important to use the same email as your CashCrate one later).
3) Fill out info (Name, address, phone, gender...etc) and press submit. Then click "no" on 2 offers that pop up (if there are any).
4) Exit the tab/window, and go back to the CashCrate tab
5) Find the offer you just did, and press submit
*It takes me about 30 seconds to complete each offer
That's it! Now you just have to wait for the offer to confirm, which usually takes an hour to 24 hours, and on occasions, longer.
Once the other has confirmed, the earnings are taken from the "pending" section and put in the "earned" one. To receive the actual money, you must make at least $20 by the end of the month, otherwise your earnings get carried over to the next month.
Why It Is Important to Use the Same Email
The way that your offers confirm is like this: The site on which you completed the offer tells cashcrate that the email "youremail@_____.com" has successfuly completed their offer. That's it. If you put in the wrong email, it means that you will not get the money for that offer, as CashCrate will not get the confirmation that you did, in fact, do the offer. If you are worried about getting spam sent to your email, then just make a new email, and use that one to start an account on CashCrate.
Why CashCrate Pays You to Do Free Offers
This is a major reason a lot of people think CashCrate is a scam, they don't understand why a site would pay you for doing something that is free. Well the reason CashCrate does this is because for each offer you complete, CashCrate gets money (from the offer's site) for referring you to the offer's site. CashCrate then gives you about %80 of the money given to them. Does that make sense?
See, this is why CashCrate pays a lot of money for people you refer to them. They give you %20 of the money your referrals make (i.e. if your referral makes $1.00, you get $0.20), and %10 of the money their referrals make. They also give you an extra $3.00 for every one of your referrals that makes their first $10.00.
Unquestionably, this is the way people make the majority of their money on CashCrate, as offers eventually run out (though new offers are added every week).
So far, I have received two checks from CashCrate, one for $20.70, and the other for $21.20. This month, so far, I have made $14.20, but have $54.95 as pending earnings (waiting to be confirmed). I will update the money I have made every time something changes, in the "Total Money Earned" box, on the right hand side of the page. All my money from CashCrate is from completing offers, as I just recently found out that you can make much more money referring people, so I'm trying that route too. In fact, if you decide that you want to try out CashCrate, you can sign up under me at http://http//www.cashcrate.com/1709452
Phew, that was a lot to type. I left some stuff out, but CashCrate has a good video tutorial on the site if you need it, and a forum where you can ask questions and show off your earnings.
Hope this helped understand a bit more about CashCrate, come back tomorrow for a post on another new site!
Well, one of the ways which have helped many people make money is starting a site, and monetizing it. This is pretty much just placing ads on your site, which pay you money, hence the term "monetize". Anyways, I played the game World of Warcraft for a long, long time, so I decided to make a blog about it. I have had it up for about 2 months now (at the time of this post), and haven't made much money, cause it's damn hard to get traffic to your site, let alone get them to click on the ads on your site.
Anyways, to monetize my site, I use Adbrite, and Clicksor. Both of which can be found under the "Sites I Use" section on the bottom right hand side of the page. I will get more into detail of each one when I get to them - each site will have its own post.
So, if you want to, my site/blog is up on the navigation bar. It's called "World of Warcraft Addict". Head on over and check it out. If you don't want to, you can go screw yourself.
Just Kidding.
(I've been using "anyways" and "so" too much, and since I can't think of another word to use as a good transition word, I'm making one up.)
Sanyways (yeah, I know, clever eh?), I'm updating that blog fairly often (43 posts this month, and it's only Nov 17! Wow George!, youza handsome bas.), and it helps a lot with getting my alexa ranking up. Go to alexa.com and search followmeplayingwow.blogspot.com. It's doing pretty well for a site up for only 2 months, I'd have to say. Ranked 5 Million in the World, and 1 Million in the US. My goal is to get this blog in the top 100,000 of either one.
Yeah, I'll have to keep dreaming on that one for the next year or so...*sigh
Well, I started this site because I have searched "how to make money online" countless amount of times on the internet, and almost all site that don't provide an actual way to make money, say something like this: "I've never personally done anything there, but I have heard people make hundreds of dollars on that site." To be frank, that sounds like crap. If the person publishing the article hasn't gone to the site he/she is writing about, then how the hell can they have an actual opinion on it? It's like going to the Dentists, and right before a procedure the Dentist says, "Now, I haven't personally done this exact procedure in the past, but I have seen other people do it.". If my tooth needs to come out, the Dentist better be damn sure of what he is doing. So the same goes for sites. I will only talk about ways that I make money online. If someone has a site that they have made money on, and it isn't a site I talk about, feel free to post it. I'll try my best to make money off of it, and talk/recommend it to people too, so thanks. I will never recommend a site that I have not participated in and/or made money from. To me, that's pretty much like lying...
Hey, my name is George, and I made this site to show people how a lot of people make money online. This isn't like those other sites which just say "go do this" or "sign up there", I actually do/have done everything that I mention on this site. All the links to sites I have used are posted below. Weekly updates on how much each site has payed me are provided, and posted at the end of each week.
So stick around, and maybe you'll learn something. Chances are, you'll probably make some money out of staying here too, as a lot of people sign up under some of the same sites I do.
Total Money Earned Online
When I review or share a site I will automatically place it and the amount of money I made from it, here. This box is updated every time a change in earnings occurs.
